Tikam Tikam

By Valerie

“Tikam Tikam” has been a cherished game in Singapore since its early years, the joy of inserting a coin and hoping for your desired prize transcending generations. Despite Singapore’s transformation into a modern garden city, Tikam Tikam machines remain outside mama shops, holding capsules that celebrate our unique identity: the Merlion, Marina Bay Sands, playful otters, Vanda Miss Joaquim, and beloved local foods. A timeless reminder of our heritage in an ever-changing landscape.

This celebratory cake design represents Singapore’s 60 years of progress and unity. Each tier highlights a unique aspect of our nation—from our modern landmarks and rich cultural diversity to our natural heritage and beloved local dishes. The SG60 logo crowns the cake, symbolizing our collective aspirations for a joyous and inspiring future. Like this cake, Singapore is a layered masterpiece, built with love and resilience.

Landscape of Singapore

By Scarlette

An art which explores our landmarks and identity. Drawn in a simplistic style. Mainly blues, reds and whites are used to emphasized key elements. Blue represents the beautiful sky and purity. Red and white represent our national flag. The background depicts the CBD area with many notable offices. The main space shows places with beautiful memories we share and connect. Tropical trees and grasses represent our green city. Mini crabs are found spreading across symbolizing our famous chili crab.

Around the SG60 logo, Singaporeans of diverse races and backgrounds stand proudly in ethnic costumes, symbolizing our multicultural harmony. My Funtastic Singapore is filled with vibrant colours and quirky ideas. Satay fireworks, Durian Kueh Lapis Changi Airport sprouting from a rainbow Kopi cup. Merlion spouting Laksa, AI Robot Sir Stamford Raffles standing on Toast Bread. These are some of my ideas. What else can you spot ?

Celebrating SG60 Sustainability in Unity

As we celebrate SG60, I highlight Singapore’s harmony as a vibrant garden city. People of all races stand united, showcasing multicultural resilience. The iconic Merlion, surrounded by lush greenery, symbolizes national pride and commitment to sustainability. Solar panels and wind turbines represent efforts toward green energy, paving the way for an eco-friendly future. This vision of unity and innovation inspires hope for future generations and a thriving, sustainable Singapore.

Incomparable Icons of Singapore

Singapore is full of unique icons. The Durian shell represents our special food and protection. Singapore Airlines is the best airline I’ve flown with. Iconic places like Marina Bay Sands are a must-visit. The Merlion and Vanda Miss Joaquim, represent our country’s beauty. The children in the picture reflect Singapore’s multicultural and inclusive society. We’re also a green, Garden City.

This SG60 logo celebrates Singapore’s 60th anniversary with illustrations of famous places like Changi Airport, Gardens by the Bay, The Merlion, symbolising Singapore’s modern skyline and lush greenery. It also incorporates our four official languages - English, Mandarin, Malay and Tamil, which shows the unity and teamwork in Singapore despite our races and differences. This logo shows all the hard work that has been put in to make Singapore where it is today and shows our future in Singapore.
